Bare Minerals Colour Extravaganza Eye Look 2 - READY TO SHINE!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! This week has been amazing, on Wednesday my blog got over 200 pageviews, I honestly can't believe that it was read that many times in one day, it's unbelievable! Yesterday I created an amazing make up look, which I really liked, it was bit of different look for me, but I really liked it. I used my Bare Minerals Colour Extravaganza palette to create this gorgeous eye make up look, if you haven't read the other posts I have created about this palette and the first look I created  with this palette then check them out now.

The products used:
No 7 Instant Radiance Foundation in Cool Vanilla, I love this foundation, it's perfect for creating a gorgeous dewy make up look, I have been using this foundation for ages and I love it.
I then used my Bare Minerals Highlighter in The Magic Moment, Bronzer in The Ocean View and Blusher in The Natural High. I am loving using these products together at the minute, I think they look amazing! These products are from the Bare Minerals Gorgeously Glowing palette and the Beautifully Bronzed palette which I have done a Blog post on previously.
For my lips, I used one of my favourite lipsticks, a Revlon one in the shade Wine with Everything, this is a gorgeous red colour, I think this lipstick is perfect for this time of year.

For my eyes, I used three shades from the Bare Minerals Colour Extravaganza palette in order to create the perfect "Ready to Shine" eye make up look. I chose to create the "Ready to Shine" look which includes the eye shadows Chart Topper, Admire and Couture. These shades are perfect to create a subtle green smoky eye, they are quite earthy shades so perfect if you are wanting to create an natural smoky eye. I used my Bare Minerals Tapered Shadow and Crease Eye Shadow Brush to create this eye make up look. I then used my Benefit Roller Lash Mascara on my lashes, I love this mascara because its perfect for creating length and volume. I like to use this mascara when I'm going out because it creates a dramatic eye look.

Cheshire Oaks Outlet Purchases: MAC Face and Body Foundation and Clinique Skincare Products

Hiya everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic week, I'm so sorry I haven't been uploading regularly recently, I am hoping to go back to my schedule of posting on a Saturday next week. Last week, I went to the Cheshire Oaks outlet because I went to an open day at Chester University on Saturday so I thought going to Chester on Friday would be good as I was able to have a little shopping trip. I went to the Cheshire Oaks Outlet and I visited the Cosmetics Company Store which is where I bought a new foundation and some new skincare products.

The first product I bought was MAC's Face and Body Foundation, I have never used any MAC products before and I have been wanting to try this foundation for ages. There wasn't a massive choice of shades of foundation so I ended up getting one that was a little bit too light for me, but I used it the other day and I have to say it looks really natural looking. I am going to be using this foundation in my future make up blog posts so I will keep you updated on my thoughts and opinions on this foundation. I got the Face and Body Foundation in the shade N2, I also love the size of the foundation as its 50ml so I think this is going to last me ages, this foundation only cost me £15.50 which is £6.50 cheaper than it usually is in other shops so I would definitely recommend going to a shop like the Cosmetics Company Store if you are wanting to find a bargain.

I also bought some skincare products from Clinique, I am always wanting to try new skincare products and someone recommended Clinique's skincare range to me a few months ago so I've been wanting to try the new products for ages. I'm glad I got this gift set because the products are so gentle and make my skin feel amazing! The skincare gift set includes: Liquid Facial Soap, Clarifying Lotion, Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion and a 7 Day Facial Scrub Cream, I used all of these products yesterday and I really like them, I was thinking of doing a post on them in a few weeks to see if I still like them and if I like them better than any other skincare products I have used previously. This gift set was also a really good price, it was £22.50 which is £7.50 cheaper than it usually is in other shops.

Please comment/tweet me if there are any MAC or Clinique or any other make up products you would like to recommend xxxxx

My Updated Skincare Routine

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic week, I can't believe its been 10 days since my last blog post, I've just been so busy but now I have organised my time better so I'm going to post another blog post at the weekend as well. Before I get in to this blog post, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads my blog, I hit 7,000 page views last week and I honestly can't believe it, if someone had said this time last year I wouldn't of believed them. Thank you all so much for the support xxxxxxx

Today I am going to do my skincare routine I have at the moment, I love looking after my skin and making sure I take all of my make up off everyday so I'm going to give you a little insight into my latest skincare routine.
First of all, before I talk about my skincare routine, I just wanted to say I have been really busy recently so sometimes I have been using make up wipes to remove my make up, I know they aren't the best thing to use but I always have a pack next to my bed to make sure I take all my make up off before bed because removing your make up is so important! I really like these ones from ASDA at the minute, I have a pack of the Sensitive ones and a pack of ones with Tea Tree, I love these wipes, they feel so gentle on my face.

My Latest Skincare Routine:

To begin with I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing water, I have been using this for ages, I love it. It's amazing at removing my make up even waterproof mascara, its also really gentle which is good because I have sensitive skin. One bottle lasts absolutely ages, I'm so impressed!! I then use the Simple's Purifying Cleansing Lotion which is incredible, my face feels so smooth after using this, I love Simple's products, they are one of my favourite skincare brands. After that I use my favourite Toner which is the Body Shop's Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner, this is one of the best toners I have ever used, I would also recommend the Simple facial toner because that is really nice as well. Then I use moisturiser, I actually have two favourite moisturisers which I switch between: Simple's Hydrating Light Moisturiser, this is a very light moisturiser, perfect for sensitive skin and Boots Essentials Moisturising Cream, I bought this at the airport before I went on holiday and to begin with I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not because it's a really thick and creamy moisturiser but I really like it, its so gorgeous and moisturising.

What are your favourite skincare products??? Comment below xxx

Deciding on UNIVERSITY? My opinion

Hello everyone I hope you are having a good weekend, today I thought I would do a different kind of blog post about something that people like me have to do at this time of year which is deciding on whether or not to apply to go to University and what university to go to. I have been thinking about going to University since the beginning of year 12 and now I'm in year 13 I am starting to apply for University and get my UCAS application completed. I am someone who has done a lot of research about what university I would like to go to, the accommodation, what the course is like and how far away it is from home.

Not sure whether to go or not?
Before I went to the Summer school at Edge Hill University in August 2015, I'm going to be honest I wasn't 100% sure that I wanted to go to University so I decided to go to Edge Hill and see what it was like, I spent three days doing Business studies which is one of my favourite subjects, I made loads of new friends and I really liked the campus so I would definitely recommend going to a summer school and an open day at a University you are interested in and want to go to. I went to a UCAS open day in April 2015 and I thought it was so good, there was over 100 universities there so I got the chance to speak to loads of representatives from different Universities and find out more about the courses I wanted to look at and this helped me to narrow down which Universities I want to go and have a look at.

Finding out what the course is like?
Personally, I am looking at courses which are more coursework based than exams because I prefer coursework, I would definitely recommend looking at the course you want to do at the University you want to go to on the Unistats website, I find this website so helpful for giving important course information. I also want to do a year abroad therefore I am looking at Universities that you can study abroad at as I just think being able to study abroad would be such an amazing experience.

Finding out what the accommodation you want is like?
I know that whichever University I choose to go to I want an en suite room, when I stayed at Northumbria University we stayed in halls with a shared bathroom and it was okay but I preferred the accommodation I stayed at, at Edge Hill University because it was en suite. I have an en suite at home and I love having my own bathroom so I know I will definitely be paying a little bit more for an en suite room.

How far away do you want to go?
Personally, I do want to leave home to go to University but I don't want to go too far away from my friends and family. I think the furthest I am looking is about 3 hours away from where I live at the moment because I do want to gain more independence but I still want to be able to pop home every now and then.

Bare Minerals Colour Extravaganza Eye Look 1 - READY TO PARTY!!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a fantastic weekend. Today I thought I would create a make up look with my new Bare Minerals eye shadow palette that I did a blog post on a few weeks ago. There were four eye looks suggested in the booklet that came with the Bare Minerals Colour Extravaganza palette therefore I have decided I'm going to do one a month. I've also got some really good ideas for blog posts starting in January so make sure you keep an eye out for those.

The products used:
L'Oreal Infallible 24HR Matte Foundation in 12 Natural Rose, I never used to be a big fan of matte foundations but I love this foundation. I wear it everyday and the coverage is amazing!
Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit, I chose to use the dark brown shade today to make the look, look a bit more dramatic. I normally wear the medium brown shade as a bronzer every day.
Jenny Packham Bright Pink Lipstick, I love this lipstick, it's one of my favourite shades, I think it's brilliant to brighten up any look. I then used my Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Double Ended Lip Gloss in Stunner.

For the eye look, I used three shades from the Bare Minerals Colour Extravaganza, I really like this palette because its a convertible eye shadow palette so you can choose your favourite shades from the 12 in the large palette and take 3 of them out with you in the convertible palette. This is so good if you are going on a night out or to a party as it means you can take your favourite shades out with you in a small compact palette. I chose to create the "Ready to party" look which include the shades, Shiver, Elixir and Mystify, these shades are absolutely gorgeous! I created a sophisticated violet eye make up look and I used my Bare Minerals Eye shadow brush which I love!! I also used my favourite mascara which is the Bare Minerals Flawless Definition mascara, this is an amazing mascara because it automatically makes my eye lashes look more dramatic and defined.

Family Holiday August 2015 - MALTA

Hiya everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. I hit 6,000 page views this week and I honestly want to thank everyone who reads my blog, it means so much to me.
A few weeks ago I went to the beautiful island of Malta, Malta is an absolutely gorgeous island and I fell in love with it instantly. I went from the 20th - 27th August and the weather was incredible, it was over 40 degrees every day so it was really hot but we were at the top of the island and there was a lovely cool breeze from the sea which was perfect. We stayed at the Paradise Bay Resort Hotel in Cirkewwa which was a lovely hotel, the rooms were very clean and spacious, we had a sea view which was absolutely gorgeous as we could see the glossy turquoise sea glistening with the island of Comino in the distance.
The hotel we stayed at had this displayed on the wall in the lobby, I just loved it, the more I got to explore Malta and Gozo I loved them, I would love to go back to Malta in the future and visit new places.
This is the gorgeous picture I took from the balcony of our room as you can see the sea looks incredible, it was so clear, I loved it.
We went for a walk one night and I took this gorgeous picture of the sea with the hotel I stayed at in the background.

In Malta we had two days where we went and visited places, one day we went to Gozo and another day we went to Valetta and the rest of our days were spent relaxing by the pool. The hotel we stayed at had 3 outdoor swimming pools and an indoor swimming pool which was incredible, there was also loads of sun loungers and it didn't matter what time you went down to the pool, there was always sun loungers free which I thought was great.

My visit to Gozo
Our hotel was only 5 minutes away from the ferry terminal which was amazing as it was dead handy for us, one day we got the ferry to Gozo, it only took about 20 minutes to get there which was great. Gozo is a beautiful island with gorgeous buildings as well as the picturesque views of the sea. When we arrived in Gozo we didn't really know what tourist things we should do therefore we chose to do a Sightseeing Tour and it was fabulous. We saw loads of gorgeous places such as the capital city Victoria which was beautiful. The Sightseeing Tour was definitely worth the money because we got to see lots of the island, the tour went to about 16 places I think and all of them were gorgeous! We also got to find out a lot about the history of Gozo which was amazing because I didn't really know much about it so I found it really interesting.
This is a picture of my ticket to Gozo, it was only 4.65 euro for a return journey which I thought was an amazing price. Below are more photos of Gozo including the beautiful churches and temples we saw.

I also wanted to take a gorgeous picture of the beautiful landscapes and views I saw, these two were some of my favourite pictures I took, I love the amazing view. I would definitely recommend Gozo to anyone who visits Malta because it is such a beautiful island.

My visit to Valletta
Valletta is an absolutely gorgeous city, I took this photo when I was walking through the city. Our hotel was quite far away from Valletta so we got a bus from Cirkewwa to Valletta which was amazing because it only cost 2 euros each and the buses had really good air conditioning, the buses were Arriva buses which we thought was really funny because we use Arriva buses in the UK.
I took these photos in Valletta as you can see the buildings are absolutely gorgeous! I thought Valetta was such a nice city, it wasn't too busy like other European cities I've been to, it had a really chilled and relaxed vibe. We did a bit of shopping in Valletta which was great as well as having lunch in a lovely little cafe which was gorgeous.
I hope you have all enjoyed this post, Malta was an amazing place and I will treasure the memories of this holiday forever.

THE BLOG TOUR AWARD!

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend and have enjoyed the Summer Holidays. A few weeks ago I was nominated for the blog tour award which is amazing, I never imagined anyone would nominated me for a blog award so I'm absolutely over the moon. Chloe nominated me for the blog tour award, I absolutely love her blog so make sure you check it out now  http://www.chloechats.blogspot.co.uk/

When I started my blog last year I never ever imagined it would get as many page views as it does now. Last August I had barely any page views and this August I have had over 1,000 just in August, I am so happy that people are reading my blog, commenting, following me on bloglovin' because honestly it means the world to me. I'm always trying to improve the quality of my blog posts as I only want to publish the posts with the best content. I have started back at Sixth Form so I am going to be very busy but I'm still going to aim for at least 1 blog post a week.
If you have any ideas on what you would like to see on my blog, feel free to comment them below or tweet me.

So as I have been nominated I have to answer four questions:

How does your blog differ from others in your genre?
When I first started my blog I just wanted to include posts about beauty but now I am also wanting to include other topics I'm interested in like travelling and lifestyle posts, I have included a few posts about holidays I have been on because I love travelling and visiting new places. I have also included a few posts about summer schools I have been to at Universities because I want to share my experiences.

How does your writing/creative process work?
Normally as soon as I have a good idea, I have to start writing the post immediately, I can't do half of it and save it as a draft, I have to finish a post straight away. I often write my post ideas and plan on when that post will be posted and whether or not I will need to buy anything for the post. I have some really good ideas that I think I will start in January, so keep an eye out for those.

Why do you write and create what you do?
When I first started my blog, I just wanted to try writing posts on my favourite beauty products but now I want to share my experiences such as the holidays I've been on. New York was one of the best holidays I have ever been on, I even debated whether or not I should blog about it but I'm so glad I did because I am able to have my amazing memories on my blog forever.

What are you working on at the moment?
I recently came back from a holiday in Malta where I visited Gozo which is an absolutely beautiful island and Valletta which is the gorgeous capital of Malta so I am hoping to write a blog post about the amazing holiday I had. And as I said above I have some really good ideas on blog posts but I think I will start them in January as a kind of special monthly blog post. I also have some really good ideas for blog posts for the run up to Christmas so keep an eye out for these.

Nominations!

My first nomination is http://daristo-chic.blogspot.com/ I love this blog, one of my favourite posts of hers is her living in Malta post, I read this before I went on holiday there and it made me even more excited to visit Malta.

My second nomination is http://velvetteddys.blogspot.com I absolutely love her blog post, one of my favourite posts is the first impression of the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate palette, I think her make up skills are absolutely amazing!

My third nomination is http://tashaforrest.blogspot.co.uk/ she is amazing at make up, one of my favourite posts is the one about the 2nd Urban Decay palette, I just loved her make up for that post, her smokey eye look was incredible!!

Lastly, my final nomination is http://daniellelgreaves.blogspot.com I love her travel Tuesday posts, I really want to travel the world when I'm older and I love reading her blog posts on the amazing countries and cities she's been to.

If those nominated want to get involved then they must nominate at least 4 other bloggers and answer the four questions I have above. I think all the blogs I've nominated above are amazing, so check them out now!

I also want to thank you all for getting my blog to 400 followers on Bloglovin' I honestly can't believe how fast it's growing. Thank you all. I also want to know if you would like me to make an Instagram related to my blog because the Instagram I have at the minute is on private so comment below if you would follow me on a Instagram focused on my blog and make up. Thank you xxxxxxxx
