Bare Minerals - The Colour Extravaganza Eye Shadow Palette

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been blogging as much this month, I've been away on two holidays and on a residential at Edge Hill University but I just wanted to say I really appreciate everyone who has still read, commented and followed my blog, honestly it means the world!

This month has been amazing, I will be posting a blog post about my recent trip to Malta soon but before that is posted I thought I would create this blog post that is about one of my new eye shadow palettes by my favourite make up brand, Bare Minerals. I bought this on my flight back from Malta for £23, I think this is an amazing price for Bare Minerals make up. I love Bare Minerals make up, it's probably my favourite make up brand, the quality of the make up is amazing and if you've read any of my previous posts then you will know how much I love this brand!!
This is the Bare Minerals Ready Colour Extravaganza Convertible Eye shadow palette, this palette includes a small compact palette to put 3 eye shadows in, I think this is perfect to use when going out as I can choose three of my favourite shades and put them in the compact palette. This eye shadow palette includes 12 shades: 4 base shades, 4 crease shades and 4 liner shades as well as a double ended tapered crease defining brush and a flat edge liner brush. I love Bare Minerals make up brushes, I have a few already and I love them!
I love the colours of these shades, these shades are gorgeous and eye catching. The shades included in this palette are Chart Topper, Hard to Get, Fantasy, Stiletto, Shiver, Admire, Elixir, Couture, Pizzazz, Bewilder, Connoisseur and Mystify. This palette includes really nice pink, plum, gold and green shades. I also like that the palette includes a booklet with 4 eye make up looks, I think this will be perfect to use as I will be able to use these colours to create eye make up looks.
Please comment below what your favourite make up brand is, I'm always wanting to try new brands and products. Also let me know if you would like me to create a look with this eye shadow palette as I have a few ideas for some blog posts. And feel free to comment below or tweet me if you want to suggest any blog posts you would like me to do!

MURCIA! My first holiday with my friends.

Hiya everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the Summer holidays. First of all, I just want to say thanks for 5,000 page views, I am so thankful to each and every reader of my blog! Yesterday I came back from a holiday to Murcia, Spain and I have to say it was amazing. I went with two of my best friends, and it was one of the best holidays I have ever been on. We stayed at my friend Charlotte Auntie's apartment which was so good! We flew from Newcastle, UK to San Javier, Murcia, Spain with Jet2, I have never flown with Jet2 before, I would definitely recommend them if you are wanting affordable flights.

The weather in Murcia was amazing, it was so hot and sunny. We had a pretty chilled holiday to be honest, during the day we would go swimming and sunbathe and then on a night we would get dressed up and go out for dinner. We did go to the beach one day at Playa Flamenca and that was nice, it was so hot. We all really love our food so we got a main course and a dessert most nights, on the last night we all had steak and it was a really nice meal. We went to the pool bar every night which was great and we all got cocktails. It was a really nice way to end every day. We sometimes went to the pool bar for lunch as well for light bites like sandwiches and chips.
Cocktails: Green Lagoon, Pina Colada and Sex on the Beach.

Charlotte and I.

Toni, Charlotte and I.

Me, Charlotte and Toni.

The pool bar.

The view from Villa Martin. I love palm trees.

The view from the apartment. Look how blue the sky is, how perfect.

Three of my favourite meals I had in Murcia:
Thai Special BBQ Chicken from the Banana Tree Restaurant. This restaurant was one of my favourite places we went to for dinner. This dish was incredibly tasty, we went there twice for dinner, the first time we went  I had the Thai Green Curry which is one of my favourite curries, I love spicy food!

This was from Eduardo's restaurant in Villa Martin Plaza. I was so excited to go here because I'm a huge fan of Towie and Elliott Wright is the owner of this restaurant. The service was superb and the food was amazing! I asked for my steak to be cooked well done and I have to say it was cooked to perfection!!

This was the "spicy burger" I had from the Che American restaurant, this was a lovely meal, I really enjoyed it. The American restaurant was like a diner. We also went to the Che Argentinian restaurant and the food was delicious. Both of the Che restaurants were amazing, the food was insane, I would definitely recommend them. Both of these restaurants are part of Villa Martin Plaza, we got a taxi every time we went and it was actually so affordable. We sometimes walked back which was nice as it was much cooler on a night.

I also chose three of my favourite desserts in Murcia:
I had this dessert at the Thai restaurant, Banana Tree that I mentioned earlier. I love pineapple, it's probably my favourite fruit so when I saw this dessert, I knew I would have to get it. It was pineapple ice cream with pineapple chunks in a pineapple, it was delicious!!
This was another delicious dessert I had at a restaurant called La Luna which was only about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. This was an amazing dessert, a chocolate brownie with ice cream and strawberry sauce.

This was probably my favourite dessert I had on holiday, chocolate profiteroles. I love chocolate profiteroles and these were amazing, they were really chocolatey but I thought they were lovely. I had these at Che American and they were delicious!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post, I'm now off to Malta for a week so please comment below anything you would like me to blog about and also let me know where you want to go on holiday with your friends. Enjoy the rest of the holidays!

Thanks so much for reading!

What's In My Summer Holiday Make Up Bags?

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic week! I go on holiday tomorrow so I thought I would create this blog post just to let you all know what I will be taking in my make up bag. I don't think I will be wearing that much make up on holiday during the day but on a night I will definitely be wearing some make up. I am taking two small make up bags full of make up products just because I am really indecisive when it comes to choosing what make up I will want so I like to bring lots so I have options.

What is in my summer holiday make up bag?
I decided to only bring 2 mascaras on holiday with me because I didn't really have enough room to bring more to be honest. What I like about these mascaras is they are both different as they create different looks which means I will be able to decide how dramatic or natural I want my eyelashes to look. I have quite dark eyelashes anyway so I probably won't be wearing mascara during the day, but on a night I will be wearing it! The first mascara I chose was my Bare Minerals Flawless Definition mascara, I love this mascara, I have been using it for months and honestly I think its amazing for lengthening lashes and creating natural looking lashes. The other mascara I chose was Maybelline's Lash Sensational mascara, I love this mascara, its great for lengthening and defining lashes for a dramatic look.

For my face I also have 2 options for the base, the first option is my favourite BB Cream at the minute, the Body Shop's All In One BB Cream, I love this, it feels really light and the coverage is amazing! My other option is my all time favourite which is my Bare Minerals Foundation, I usually wear the fairly light foundation but I am going to bring the light shade as well as I think it will match my skin tone better when I have a tan. I haven't used Bare Minerals Foundation in ages so I am super excited to start using it again as the coverage is amazing and it feels so lightweight! I am also taking my Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer which I absolutely love as well as my Bare Minerals Mineral Veil powder which is absolutely insane, I would even go as far to say its my favourite powder ever! I am also going to take one of my favourite make up brushes ever, my Bare Minerals Full Flawless Face brush, I absolutely love this brush, its amazing!

I have chosen to bring one blusher and one bronzer with me as well. I chose to bring my Bare Minerals ones because I don't really use them that often and I should because they are amazing! I chose my Bare Minerals All Over Face Colour in Warmth because its a gorgeous colour for creating a natural sun kissed glow. I also decided to bring my Bare Minerals blush in Ignite which is gorgeous shimmery pink colour. I am going to bring my Bare Minerals Flawless Face Brush which is amazing and perfect for applying blusher or bronzer.

For my eyes, I chose two of my favourite eyeshadow palettes at the minute, the first one is my MUA Poptastic eyeshadow palette, I love this, I think the colours are gorgeous and perfect for creating cute summer eye make up. I then chose a completely different eye shadow palette which is great to create a smoky eye make up, my Seventeen Limited Edition eyeshadow palette, these colours are so gorgeous and have a tiny bit of shimmer to them which I love. I am also going to bring my Bare Minerals tapered shadow and crease brush which I can't live without, its the best eye shadow brush I have ever used, I just love it.

I also opted to bring a few more individual eye shadows because you can never have to many eye shadows can you? I have chose to bring two of my bare minerals eye colours in Centre Stage which is a gorgeous chocolate colour and Flawless Diamond which is a gorgeous shimmery cream colour! Bare Minerals eye colours are my favourites, they are so pretty and perfect for a special occasion! The eye shadow in the middle is from Boots No7 in the shade Cappuccino, I love this eye shadow because it lasts ages and is really easy to blend for a gorgeous dramatic look.

I then chose to bring these three double ended lipglosses which I have featured in many blog posts, I love these, the shades are absolutely beautiful and they are very long lasting! I picked these up in Sephora in New York in May and I instantly knew they would be amazing and they didn't disappoint. They are in the shades: Charmer and Spark Plug, Show Off and Hot Shot and Rebel and Stunner. What I love about these lip glosses is one side is a natural shade for during the day and then the other side is a brighter, bolder shade for a gorgeous night time make up look.

I then decided I should bring a few lip crayons, I chose two from Makeup Revolution, one in an orangey shade and the other in a bright pink shade. I love these lip crayons, they are great for creating fun and bold make up looks. I also decided to bring my Seventeen Lip Crayon which is a kind of neon pinky purple shade which I just think is perfect for summer.

Finally, I decided to bring 5 lipsticks with me because well why not? I chose 5 very different shades. L to R: Champagne on Ice, Blushing Mauve, Love That Red, Iced Amethyst and Bright Pink. These lipsticks are all gorgeous colours, I think I would probably wear Champagne on Ice and Blushing Mauve during the day because they are more natural shades and then wear the darker shades on a night.

Edge Hill University Residential

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely week. It's not long until I go on my holidays which I am super excited about. I just wanted to say my blog posting schedule might be a bit crazy over the next few weeks as I go on holiday on Wednesday with my friends for a week then the day after I get back, I'm going on holiday again with my family so I'm going to try and squeeze a blog post in. I hope you are all enjoying the Summer holidays. I usually find the holidays a little bit boring but I've been so busy recently which has been great because I'd rather be busy than doing nothing.

This week from Monday 3rd August until Thursday 6th August I went to a residential at Edge Hill University and I have to say it was amazing!!! It was 1000 times better than I thought it would be, I recently went to one at Northumbria University which is only about 1 hour away from where I live and that was good but they were both completely different. Edge Hill University is a campus based university and Northumbria University is in Newcastle so it's in the city. Personally, I think everyone at Edge Hill University was so friendly and nice which was great as it meant it was really easy to make friends. The thing that shocked me the most was I could actually see myself going there which is something I never expected.  I loved every minute and to be honest, I kind of wish it had been a bit longer like a full week. I was actually gutted to be coming home, it had a great community feel and to be honest I just loved it. I never expected to like it half as much as I did, it was amazing!

The accommodation was fantastic, it was definitely the best university accommodation I have seen/stayed in, it was so modern, I loved it. We stayed in Chancellors Court which has all en-suite rooms. When I go to university, I think I will definitely get an en-suite room. We also had a massive kitchen with a beautiful view of the lake which was so nice, the kitchen was a great size and we usually chilled out there when we had free time.

I was so nervous when I arrived on the Monday, I really didn't know what to expect as I didn't know anyone but I have to say I am so glad I went, I honestly feel like my confidence has grown so much. I'm quite a chatty person so I found it quite easy to make friends, I made two friends in my business class who were like the loveliest girls ever, they were so nice and I think we are definitely going to keep in touch. We had to do a presentation for Business and we worked in a little group which was great, we did our presentation on the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and I really enjoyed creating it and researching for the information. I also made friends with the people who were in my block and we all had a Domino's on the Tuesday night which was good as we were able to get to know each other more and socialise which was great as we all made friends. I also really enjoyed the quiz and disco on the Wednesday night, I made some great friends and we all loved dancing and partying which was so much fun! I was actually really sad to come home, I really enjoyed my time at the Edge Hill Residential, I loved every minute of it!

I also did a tour of the area before I left which was great, I managed to speak to some people I had met on the first night and they were so lovely, it was so nice making friends. Ormskirk was really nice and I really liked the area. There was loads of nice bars, restaurants and shops which is great. I also liked the fact Edge Hill wasn't that far away from Liverpool which is good as I think Liverpool is great for shopping.

Summer Holiday Haul - Primark, Dorothy Perkins and New Look

Hiya everyone, I just want to say thank you to my readers, I reached 4,000 page views in July with over 1,000 page views just in July which is the most I have ever got in one month. I still can't believe it, my page views are going up so much at the minute and I owe it all to my lovely readers. Thank you so much! On Friday, I went to Newcastle with my mum for a shopping trip, I love going shopping with my mum, especially when it's for holiday clothes!

The first shop I bought a few things from was Dorothy Perkins, I am loving Dorothy Perkins at the minute, I think they have got some absolutely gorgeous pieces in store. I knew as soon as I spotted this top, I had to have it, its a gorgeous colour. I bought a gorgeous lime green top which was reduced from £20 to £7, this is an amazing price for such a lovely top. I think this top would look perfect with my black leather shorts and some black heels or even just some sandals. I also bought a really cute vest top from Dorothy Perkins which has a gorgeous pink and blue flowery pattern which I just think is perfect for the summer, I think this would look great with a pair of denim shorts for a really cute casual day time look. This top was reduced from £10 to £5 so that was another great bargain I found. I got two tops for £12 in Dorothy Perkins which is absolutely amazing, considering one of them was originally £20. Personally, I absolutely love sales, I am great at finding bargains.

I then went to New Look which is one of my favourite shops, I used to shop here all the time a few years ago and then I stopped shopping there for a while but now I have started shopping there again, I love it. I picked up quite a few bargains in the New Look sale. I found two pairs of shorts in two different styles, one pair was in the Mom style and the other one was in the Boyfriend style. The Mom style ones are my favourite, I just think they will be perfect for when I'm on holiday, they were reduced from £19.99 to £10 which is an absolute bargain! I love the acid wash look, I think they will look perfect with a vest top on holiday. The Boyfriend style ones are also really nice, I love boyfriend jeans, they fit my body shape much better than other styles and these shorts are exactly the same. The Boyfriend shorts were reduced from £17.99 to £10 so they were also a great bargain. One thing I love about shorts from New Look is that they are always really comfortable to wear which is what I want especially when I'm on holiday. I also bought a silver back pack from New Look, this was an absolute bargain, it was reduced from £24.99 to £10 which is amazing! I love the size of this bag and I think I will use this as my bag to take on to the plane as it is big enough that I will get all my stuff in. The last thing I bought from New Look was these white shoes, I love these, I was really struggling to find sandals I liked because I am probably one of the most fussy people ever when it comes to shoes. I just bought these shoes for wearing on a night if I don't want to wear heels. These shoes were down to £6 from £10. I saved almost £37 in New Look compared to if I had bought these products at the full price.

I then went to Primark to get a few things. First of all I bought these sunglasses, every time I go to Primark I buy a new pair of sunglasses and I love these ones. I really like the leopard print pattern around the edge of the sunglasses, they were only £1. I also liked these sunglasses because they are big oversized sunglasses compared to my other sunglasses. I then bought a purple vest top which was only £1.80 and I just think it would look good with a pair of denim shorts for a nice casual day time look. I then found this gorgeous black and white hat which I think will be perfect when I'm on holiday. I love hats like this and this one was only £4 which is an absolute bargain compared to the price of similar hats in different shops. I then bought these luminous green shoes which I absolutely love, these will be perfect for walking from the apartment to the pool. They were only £3 which was a great price.

I have worked out and overall I managed to save £50 compared to if I had bought these products at full price. I love going shopping, especially when there is a sale on as there are always bargains to be found. I hope you have enjoyed this blog post. There probably won't be another blog post until Friday as I am at Edge Hill University for a summer residential this week so I just wanted to say, I hope you all have a lovely week!
